Dabbing is a very simple process. But for anyone who's new to or unfamiliar with dabbing, the specific terms like "nail" and "dome" might seem positively perplexing at first.

However, like most other things, it somehow comes a lot easier and more natural once you've actually done it.

After you have a few crucial things you need for a basic dabbing setup like a dab rig, dab nail, carb cap, dabber and dab torch, here’s how it goes:

Step 1: Torch & Nail

First, turn on the torch, and use the torch to heat the dab nail. Heating the nail until it's red hot and glowing will do the trick.

Step 2: Nail & Dome

The old school way of dabbing involves using a glass dome over the nail. If you have a titanium nail on hand, you should cool it for about ten seconds. If your nail is quartz, give it a good 45 seconds to cool properly. You don't want the temperature to be too scorchingly hot, or it will compromise the process and the overall results. The most popular nail to use today that does not require a dome is a quartz banger.

Step 3: Dab with Dabber

Apply the dab with your dabber directly onto the nail within the dome. Then, simply inhale slowly. In order to prevent wasting any oil, rotate the tip of the dabber throughout.

That's it! Congratulations, you're officially a dabber!

However with dab rigs, cheaper is not always better and since you will be using it a lot we recommend investing in a good quality one. If you're just starting out look for a dab rig around $50-$100 or if you prefer high end we have dab rigs that are $200+. While you may be able to find some dab rigs under $50 we do not recommend those if you're looking for the best quality.

What are the different types of DAB rigs?

Dab rigs come in all different styles and designs but they all ultimately do the same thing. The most popular different type of dab rigs are glass dab rigs, recycler dab rigs, mini dab rigs and electric dab rigs. It really comes down to personal preference and which type you like the most so don't get discourage or overwhelmed by all the different types, just find one you like and go with it!
